The Technical-Scientific Coordination Support Service assists the President in performing the statutory functions outlined in the Statute and in monitoring the technical-scientific activities of the Institute to ensure proper coordination.
Specifically, the statutory functions of the President, for which support is provided, include: overseeing the operations of the Institute, ensuring unified direction and coordinating its technical-scientific activities; setting the guidelines and objectives for research activities, issuing directives to the Director General for their implementation, taking into account the strategic objectives set at national and European levels, and the guidelines of the Minister of Labour and Social Policies; and submitting the triennial activity plan to the Board of Directors, after consulting the Scientific Committee and considering the guidelines of the Minister of Labour and Social Policies, and updating it annually.
