21.01.2025 – The Scientific Committee of Sinappsi, the Inapp journal, officially convenes today. Comprising distinguished scholars from universities, institutions, and research centres across Italy and Europe, the Committee reinforces the journal’s longstanding scientific prestige. Sinappsi has long been committed to the analysis, monitoring, and evaluation of social phenomena and policies related to the labour market and welfare.
The Committee is composed of Ignazia Maria Bartholini (University of Palermo), Leonardo Becchetti (University of Rome Tor Vergata), Fabio Berton (Joint Research Centre, European Commission), Giancarlo Blangiardo (University of Milan-Bicocca, former Istat President), Mario Ciampi (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy), Giuseppe Croce (Sapienza University of Rome), Francesco Dini (University of Florence), Francesca Gelli (IUAV University of Venice), Cristiano Gori (University of Trento), Marcella Milana (University of Verona), Catia Nicodemo (Brunel University London and University of Oxford), Mariella Nocenzi (Sapienza University of Rome), Giampiero Proia (Roma Tre University), Giancarlo Rovati (Catholic University of the Sacred Heart), Antonello Scialdone (Inapp), and Maria Enrica Virgillito (Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa).
Inapp President Natale Forlani, in his capacity as editor-in-chief of the journal, outlined the strategic directions for Sinappsi’s new phase. These include publishing scientific contributions that offer medium- to long-term insights into phenomena to guide policymaking and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. The approach will emphasise comparative analysis within an international context and propose new governance models.
Upcoming issues will address highly topical themes such as the consequences of demographic dynamics and artificial intelligence.
