New Sinappsi publication coming soon

21/03/2023 – The new issue of Inapp’s scientific journal Sinappsi will be available in a few days. The publication will address issues that concern different aspects of the labour market, as well as of training and social policies, which are analysed from multiple perspectives.

Two of the eight articles specifically look at small and medium-sized enterprises, which are often overlooked in the public debate in spite of the significant impact they exert on the Italian economy, also on account of their interrelationship with public policies. The first of these two articles illustrates the effectiveness and limitations of European and national policies aimed at fostering the development of skills for managers and employees in SMEs.

The second article analyses labour regulation by applying a socioeconomic approach. Two other articles focus on employment policies targeting young people by evaluating the Garanzia Giovani instrument to assess its effectiveness in integrating NEETs and the most disadvantaged categories, also in the future. The rest of the articles focus on a wide range of topics looking at the effectiveness of current policies such as the Jobs Act, those implemented during the pandemic to support the most fragile demographics and of those labour reforms that, albeit outdated, have impacted the labour market in Italy.

For the next Sinappsi publication (2-2023), a call for papers is currently open with a deadline extended to next 31 May. The topic is “Labor Crisis: Causes, Consequences and Intervention Policies.”
