On 30 October, the results of the Fairwork Italy 2024 Report will be presented and discussed at the Inapp Auditorium, starting at 9:30 a.m., as part of a conference organised by Inapp, Fairwork, Sapienza University of Rome (Department of Social and Economic Sciences) and the Oxford Internet Institute (University of Oxford).
The Report analyses and evaluates the conditions and quality of work on digital platforms through five principles of fair work (fair pay, fair conditions, fair contracts, fair management, and fair representation). Through research on platform economics and artificial intelligence, which spans 39 international contexts with a wide network of researchers and several academic institutions and research centres, Fairwork seeks to produce analyses aimed at guaranteeing all workers dignified rights and protections.
Natale Forlani, president of Inapp, will open the proceedings.
The results and objectives of the Report will be presented by Andrea Ciarini and Luisa De Vita from Sapienza University of Rome, and Alessio Bertolini from the University of Oxford.
Massimo De Minicis, a researcher at Inapp, will moderate the roundtable discussion ‘Platforms, bargaining and regulation of gig work in Italy’, with the participation of social partners and platform management.
