On 10 July, at the Inapp Auditorium and online, a discussion meeting will be held, promoted by the Institute in collaboration with the Italian Geographical Society. This is part of a scientific partnership between the two entities, both engaged in research on territorial phenomena. The first outcome of this partnership was the seminar “Community Engagement and Inclusion of Young People of Foreign Origin” held on 19 April.

The meeting on 10 July will focus on the presentation of the 16th SGI Report dedicated to the theme “Territories in Transition” and the major issues concerning the marginal areas of our Country. 80 scholars active in Italian universities and research centers collaborated in the drafting of the volume.

The event will be opened by the President of Inapp, Natale Forlani, and the President of SGI, Claudio Cerreti. The presentation of the report by its co-editor Stefano de Falco (University of Naples Federico II) will be followed by a roundtable discussion with institutional representatives, moderated by Antonello Scialdone (Head of Inapp’s “Civil Economy and Migration Processes” Structure). Vito De Palma (Secretary of the Parliamentary Committee for the Implementation of Fiscal Federalism) and Patty L’Abbate (Vice President of the Environment and Territory Committee – Chamber of Deputies) are among the panelists invited to discuss territorial disparities and the revitalisation of peripheral areas.
