The Director General is in charge of the administrative management of the Institute, and oversees the implementation of resolutions issued by the Board of Directors and by the President. In particular, the Director General is in charge of ensuring administrative coordination of all branches of the Institute through the implementation of guidance deeds, plans, programs and general guidelines set by the President and by the Board of Directors, as well as staff organisational activities; consistently with guidelines provided by the President, the Director General is also in charge of developing the three-year Action Plan, and the three-year planning of requirements, as well as the Institute’s organisation and operation regulations.
The Director General is selected among highly-qualified experts, also including staff outside public administration.
The Director General is appointed by the Board of Directors on a proposal by the President and shall hold office for a four-year term, only renewable once.
Since 19 February 2020 Dr. Santo Darko Grillo is Inapp’s Director General in office, appointed by Resolution of the Board of Directors No. 1/2020.
