The three-year Agreement was signed on 31 December 2022 and supplemented by an Additional Act following the enactment of Law no. 33 of 23 March 2023 ‘Delegations to the Government on policies in favour of the elderly’.
For many years Inapp, with its Research Group ‘Demographic Dynamics and the Ageing of the Workforce’, has been overseeing the issue of active ageing, with a particular focus on issues relating to extending working life. In this context, it supports the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies in its participation in the UNECE Standing Working Group on Ageing (SWGA), an intergovernmental working group composed of representatives of UN member states in the European Region, international organisations, non-governmental organisations and the world of research.
The long-standing collaboration between DiPoFam and Inapp has materialised in the scientific support to the United Nations Ministerial Conference on Ageing, jointly organised by the Italian Government and UNECE in Rome, in June 2022, and in the participation in the Multilevel Participatory National Coordination Project on Active Ageing policies, together with the IRCCS INRCA of Ancona, aimed at defining a shared and participatory intervention model for the promotion of active ageing in Italy.
